As a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager, you will be part of our small, talented team in Sydney that is dedicated to the ongoing development of hardware and software used extensively throughout the transport industry. You will support this mission with the following tasks:

  • Lead and manage software and hardware engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, budget and resource allocation and reporting on projects status to management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure successful delivery.
  • Serve as the liaison between the development team and project customers, communicating project status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Utilise technical expertise to capture and manage risks and provide guidance and support to the development team, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency.

What You Bring to the Table

You have completed a tertiary degree, preferably in computer science or electrical/electronic engineering.

Your skills include:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects using MS Project or similar tools.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and deliver on time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing large product development projects at all stages of the lifecycle with a focus on technology implementation.
  • Skilled in driving process improvements and managing change effectively.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and provide regular project updates and clear and transparent communication.
  • Highly proficient in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Experienced in identifying, mitigating and managing project risks and issues.

Bonus skills:

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM) is a plus
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Suite, including MS Project and Power BI

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
