T. G. Baker Americas Inc (part of the r2p Group) ​is looking for an Account Manager, Rail (m/f/d) to join its team in ​Ontario. ​You will work on a variety of transit projects and sales opportunities for multiple customers across ​Canada. You will be based in our Vaughan ​Office and will need to work closely with colleagues in ​Toronto and our other group business units on a global level. You will need to be able to understand our customer’s requirements and expectations and effectively communicate these to our software, hardware and engineering teams.

Your Tasks
  • Takeover and support of an existing clientele
  • Responsibility for continued sales support to General Contractors and/or Electrical Contractors
  • Responsibility to develop a consultative sales approach with existing clients and/or prospects
  • Develop and maintain a successful pipeline of opportunities and leverage sales tools including Salesforce
  • Independent development of further market potential
  • Successful acquisition of new customers
  • Active market and competition observation as well as sounding out new trends and developments
  • International coordination of sales activities with major key accounts
  • Responsibility to review and respond to RFP/RFQ and general pricing requests
  • Support trade shows and sales conferences

  • Demonstrated sales talent with benefit argumentation for the customer
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to absorb and retain technical information
  • Be a team player and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and deliver time critical tasks for customers and colleagues based in geographically dispersed locations/time zones
  • Demonstrated ability to operate Microsoft Office 365 products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience supporting Smart City/Intelligent Transportation Systems including Passenger Information Systems, CCTV Systems, Automatic Passenger Counting Systems etc, for fixed infrastructure and rolling stock is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to support the preparation of contract documents, service level agreements and related documents is an advantage
  • Knowledge of French is an advantage
Your Qualifications
  • Successfully completed commercial or technical studies or comparable training, preferable with professional experience in sales of products requiring technical explanation
  • 5+ years of successful outside technical sales experience
  • University Degree, preference in Technical/ Business or equivalent experience
  • Authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future


Travelling requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 20/30% to support business needs
  • Overnight travel required
  • May be required to travel occasional weekend
  • May be required to travel internationally
