r2p announces a new order from Bombardier Transportation Austria GmbH for supplying onboard Saloon and DOO CCTV solutions.
Highest standards of safety for passengers and drivers are a central concern for operators of public transportation. Mobile CCTV systems can contribute to the over-all safety and help prevent accidents. DOO CCTV functions as reliable rear-view mirror replacement and door control and help the drivers to obtain a full view of the vehicle.
Starting from the middle of 2018, r2p will supply Saloon and DOO CCTV equipment for 32 trains operated by Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe Austria. The project will cover a full IP based CCTV system including CD4 cameras and the digital high-performance video recorder R16-X as well as an SIL1 DOO solution.
This collaboration is an extension of the FLEXITY 2 fleet project, which has been under way since 2017. The new Saloon and DOO CCTV solutions will replace older, analogue systems and traditional external rear-view mirrors.
