TG Baker Americas (TGBA), r2p’s long-term partner, recently acquired and is now part of the r2p group, has secured yet another order. This is primarily thanks to TGBA's strong relationship with Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), supporting past and ongoing projects.
The project includes replacing and upgrading the Public Address (PA) system for 75 subway stations. The NetSpire IP-based system replaces the existing outdated analogue PA system. It provides the ability to integrate the new NetSpire PA system with TTC control room operation systems, securing and supporting future expansion requirements from the client. The system will be extended and aligned with TTC's subway expansion projects. Currently, TTC has more than 1200 Passenger Assistance Intercoms deployed across their 75 stations.
Delivery includes NetSpire soft- and hardware (CSX servers, VAS servers and storage, NACs, NARs and IPPA,'s). The project's service scope includes design, engineering, testing, and commissioning.
We are delighted and proud to continue supporting the TTC as they deploy the NetSpire system across their infrastructure. This important project highlights the power of NetSpire as a fully integrated IP-based Passenger Information System and our ability to deliver larger communication-based transit projects.
