Rail & Road Protec GmbH (r2p) and Medha Servo Drives PVT. LTD. (Medha) announced today that they have signed an agreement starting up manufacturing of r2p rail certified CCTV technology for the Indian Railway market. The combination of German developed heavily ruggedized CCTV technology manufactured locally in Hyderabad by Medha is expected to become a powerful cooperation. First Indian-made units will become available in Q3, 2014.

The R8compact recorder is certified for the rail industry (EN 50155) with TX temperature range (up to 85° Celsius) as well as meeting road vehicles certifications (e-certificate): This cooperation will broaden the Medha product portfolio and open the Indian rail market for r2p technologies.
