r2p secures another order from Chile: Local bus operator wants to increase efficiency with r2p tracking solutions

Altas Cumbres, a bus operator offering intercity bus transport in Chile, ordered equipment for 21 Volvo buses. The project includes ECO-performer and RFID driver login.

Altas Cumbres seeks to better control fuel consumption of their vehicles based on driver behaviour and to compare drivers’ performances. After a period of testing the r2p ECO-Performer the results revealed that the r2p product is an efficient and effective solution. Furthermore, r2p offers a reliable local customers service and a good cost-benefit relation. Hence, Altas Cumbres placed an order with r2p for tracking boxes of the type PB 3100 and driver ID for RFID driver login for their 21 Volvo buses.

The r2p ECO-Performer automatically and reliably provides feedback on driving behaviour and noticeably saves fuel. Radiofrequency Identification (RFID) driver login is an easy and hassle-free solution to identify and document drivers and their driving patterns and routes. This way, the fleet manager can effortlessly compare the drivers’ performances and driving behaviour. The installation of r2p’s unique solution requires no physical interference with the vehicle’s chassis and therefore does not compromise the vehicle warranty.

r2p’s Latin America Commercial Manager Ricardo Marcon is expecting a successful project and can image to extend the cooperation after three years. “Businesses all over Chile are showing interest in telemetric solutions to reduce fuel consumption and to improve the management of operational costs. The solution we provide for Altas Cumbres can easily be adapted for any other logistics or transport company. In the future, an integration of our tour planning application WebTour is also conceivable.”

The rapidly growing r2p Group, headquartered in Flensburg, Germany, operates internationally in 45 countries with subsidiaries in Denmark, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Malaysia and Brazil. With a silent partnership in Taiwan, a sales office in the Czech Republic and local manufacturing in India, r2p takes pride in being a truly global company.
