r2p announces an order from RTL (Reading Transport) to upgrade the last of their previous generation on-bus equipment with the latest version of iMedia.
With the new order r2p will supply equipment for 34 buses, which are operated in and around Reading, and on their new 702 (London) and 703 (Bracknell to Heathrow) services. The project will start in the third quarter of 2018 and will include new on-bus screens and on-bus computers.
The cooperation between RTL and r2p started with an initial Real Time Information project in 2005 and has since then been expanded – and continuously upgraded. Russell Gard, Managing Director of r2p UK, says: “We are very happy that we could build on such a strong relationship with the team at Reading Transport, which made it possible to offer an accelerated upgrade to the iMedia system – especially as it is including the exciting new services RTL is going to put into operation.”
